Curriculum
Sacred Heart School follows the curriculum prescribed by the ICSE Board, New Delhi, one of the most respected and widely recognized educational boards in India. The CBSE curriculum is designed to provide a balanced and holistic education that fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and life skills among students.
At Sacred Heart, the curriculum is implemented with a learner-centered approach that goes beyond textbook learning. It aims to equip students with knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to succeed in an ever-evolving global environment.

Academic Structure
The school offers a comprehensive academic programme from Pre-School to Grade XII, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning:

  • Pre-Primary Level (Pre-School to Kindergarten)

  • Primary Level (Grades I–V)
The curriculum at this stage aims at building strong foundational skills in languages, mathematics, and environmental studies. It encourages curiosity, observation, and exploration through interactive teaching methods and experiential learning.

  • Middle Level (Grades VI–VIII)
Students are introduced to a more structured academic framework with subjects such as Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and Languages. Emphasis is given to conceptual clarity, analytical thinking, and the development of problem-solving skills.

Key Features of the Curriculum

  • Competency-Based Learning
The ICSE  curriculum emphasizes understanding concepts rather than rote memorization. Students are encouraged to apply knowledge in real-life situations.

  • Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE Principles)
Assessment is both formative and summative, focusing on regular feedback, skill development, and overall progress rather than just final examinations.

  • Integration of Co-curricular Activities
Equal importance is given to sports, arts, life skills, and value education, ensuring the all-round development of students.

  • Skill Development and Experiential Learning
The curriculum includes projects, practical work, group activities, and hands-on experiences to enhance understanding and creativity.

  • Technology-Integrated Learning
Smart classrooms, digital resources, and multimedia tools are incorporated into teaching to make learning more interactive and effective.

  • Value-Based and Life Skills Education
Moral values, environmental awareness, communication skills, and social responsibility are integrated into the curriculum to prepare students for life.
