The educational mission of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) is rooted in a profound conviction: that the ultimate aim of all education is the formation of the human person in his or her fullness, enabling the individual to realize personal potential while fulfilling social responsibilities. Education, therefore, is not merely the acquisition of knowledge, but a transformative process that shapes character, values, and a sense of purpose.

Notably, a substantial number of CMI members are actively engaged in this educational mission, highlighting its central importance within the congregation’s apostolate.
The educational philosophy of CMI is deeply inspired by its founder, Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara, a visionary pioneer in the field of education in India. He was a trailblazer who championed the cause of universal education, advocating that learning should be accessible to all, irrespective of social or economic background. He emphasized not only access to education but also its quality and value orientation, ensuring that individuals are formed holistically and empowered to become agents of social mobility and transformation.
Carrying forward this rich legacy, CMI institutions continue to act as trend-setters in education, constantly striving to innovate while remaining rooted in enduring values.
